The Trade-Hive story
Trade-Hive was founded by Shaun Hartnell. Shaun is a heating engineer by trade, so has experienced first-hand many of the services out there that are allegedly designed to help connect tradespeople and homeowners.
He wanted to do better.
Trade-Hive is the result of several years of thinking about the ingredients needed to make a service like this work for both homeowners and tradespeople alike.
One of the most important aspects for Shaun was to create a platform that is free at the point of use for everyone – which Trade-Hive is.
Another key aim was to be able to give back in a more meaningful way, which is why Trade-Hive has chosen to support Veterans’ Foundation by encouraging happy users to make a donation.
Where does your donation go?
Whilst Trade-Hive is free for you to use, it takes a lot of work to keep it up and running! So, 50% of all donations will go towards the running costs of the platform.
The other 50% of your donation will go directly to our chosen charity, Veterans’ Foundation.
We believe that, if we continue to offer a great service, our users will be happy to make a small donation to help us support our work and, more importantly, that of Veteran’s Foundation.
The amount you donate is entirely up to you. You may choose to donate a fixed amount per completed job, a percentage of the value of each completed job, or perhaps a fixed amount per month/year to support the service.

Veterans’ Foundation is a military charity. They believe that home is a human right and exist to defend the right to a safe home.
